My responsibilities as a supervisor onsite using as built drawings was to ensure work is being done due to the specifications on designs and quality compromised. Procedures of work were followed and also geotechnical tests of road layers. Ensure orders of material needed on site are done on time and confirm material required.

Administration and Quality Control of Contracts to Eliminate Rural Sanitation Backlog: Region 1 – Engcobo

  • Client – Chris Hani District Municipality (CHDM)
  • Marking of pits using GPS co-ordinates. Capturing Data and filling. Check quality of works. Plotting critical buffer zone using Auto CAD. Updating weekly Report. Inspection of works. Assuring contractor’s built to the requirement specification. Rejecting works if not executed according to specification. Issue site instructions. Compile agenda and minutes of technical and site meeting.

My responsibilities are preparation of tender documents, monitoring of progress and quality of workmanship on site. Attending site meetings and conducting site visits. Provide technical and management advise, calculate the quantities of material required for the project.

My responsibilities as a Civil technician was to work very close with sub-contractors to inspect their work has the quality/specified specification that is required from drawings. Completion of reports and monitoring of progress of works of workmanship on site. Ensure work done on site aligns with the schedule of works.
